OK, so bear with me. This will be the last time I write about this (at least this particular situation anyway). But you read my post about the excessive celebration penalty at the recent UGA-LSU game. Well this past weekend, during the Florida-Arkansas football game, this same ref crew had some more controversy. Read on…. (more…)

Who Is The Most Overrated Player In The NFL?
I saw a players poll in Sports Illustrated this week where all the football players in the NFL picked who they thought was the most overrated player in the league. You might be surprised by the answer. (more…)

Football Fans: When Is Enough, Enough?
As I have stated before, I am not just a football nut, but a Georgia Bulldog. Some of you, if you didn’t see the Bulldogs play, may have seen the recap of the call at the end of the game this Saturday that many say swung the momentum. It was an unsportsmanlike penalty for excessive celebration called on AJ Green, Georgia’s playmaker wide receiver.

This Football Player Has Better Stats Than Tim Tebow!
So you probably have not heard of Dan LeFevour unless you are a fan of Central Michigan Universty or a real college football nut. But amazingly this quarterback has better stats than the University of Florida’s Tim Tebow. Yes, you read that right. But before you start poor mouthing CMU and their schedule, let’s look at it. Footballs Wide Receivers; Just Divas Or Worth The Drama
Michael Crabtree’s holdout from the San Franciso 49ers got me to looking at the wide receivers in the NFL recently. These guys are more and more hitting the top of the draft board and the big bucks that come with that. And there is a crop of big, strong, and fast wide receivers that are almost freakish with their builds and their skills in the game. But has it gotten out of control with the antics of T.O. and a guy like Crabtree doing what he’s doing? Well here’s what I think….

This is just about these two football teams.

Michigan Coach Rodriguez…..I’m not buying it!
I saw the clips of the press conference with Michigan Coach Rich Rodriguez in response to the allegations by former and current players that Michigan went way beyond NCAA rules for practice or workout times, during both the season and off season. I’m sorry, but I just didn’t buy his response.

Word Is That Favre Is An Issue In The Vikings Locker Room
Listening to the swirl and skimming the Internet, rumors (not confirmed of course) abound that Brett Favre has become an issue in the locker room at Minnesota. That the combination of support for the other contenders for the leadership position of this football team AND Brett’s appearing knack for not having to participate in all of preseason camp, is creating some strife among the team. Puking Quarteback Now To Play College Football For His Dad
If you happen to know Riley Dodge, it’s probably as the high school quarterback who threw up on the field before throwing a touchdown pass in the 2006 Texas 5A high school football championship game. Now he is going to try and get fame at the college football level, but for different reasons.
