First Weekend Of College Football Is Done.

Ok, so the 2009 first weekend of College Football is complete and what do we know at this point?  Well, it really is too early to say that we really know anything at all.  But like everyone else I’ve got a few observations after watching several games and way too much Sports Center.

Football and the NFL lost a great one.

Bill Walsh lost his battle with leukemia last week. And the game of football lost a true “legend” with his passing. I wrote a few weeks ago about his impact on the game of football. And it is truly amazing.

College Football: Money talks and ….. NCAA wimps out.

A recent announcement has come out from college football conference commissioners and others who run the current BCS format shows that they are sticking with their money, I mean story. Or maybe I really mean money. College footballs current four bowl, single championship game format won’t change for at least three years.
