Why All The Talk About Vick And The Eagles?

I know you think I am crazy for even making that the title of this post.  But bear with me a minute.  I have enjoyed all the raging debate last night and today.  Why the Eagles?  Should he even be let back in?  Is this a second chance or wasn’t he really doing tons of [...]

How good a quarterback is Tim Tebow really?

The Florida Gators football team has tended to live and die with their quarterback, even in the post Steve Spurrier era. Now after a national championship and a Heisman Tropy, here is my question. How good, really is Tim Tebow?

Pac 10 football as good as SEC football?

I came across an old cover of the  September 24, 2007  issue of Sports Illustrated.  The cover had the question: Pac-10 or SEC: Which Is Stronger? Are they really serious? The media just loves USC and the Pac-10 for some reason. Let me address this issue before I have a stroke!

Football Cheating–How bad is it?

OK, all we hear about in baseball these days is who’s “juicing”, who’s on the “list”,  steroids, steroids,  blah, blah. … I’m sick of it and I don’t even follow baseball that closely.  And football fans all remember the football cheating “scandal” in New England. There may be hope for NFL football players

Over the last few years, as I am really starting to think the football players in the NFL are threatening to ruin this sport I love, along comes a glimmer of light. First, Roger Goodell seems committed to forcing players to clean up their acts. Then I read about something that happened down [...]

Will the Madden Curse Strike Pro Football Every Year?

EA Sports has a true franchise game in it’s Madden Football.  One of the all time best selling, if not the #1 selling sports video game of all time, it has evolved to the point that grown men line up at midnight to get one of the first editions each year.  But along with a [...]

Football and the NFL lost a great one.

Bill Walsh lost his battle with leukemia last week. And the game of football lost a true “legend” with his passing. I wrote a few weeks ago about his impact on the game of football. And it is truly amazing.

College Football: Money talks and ….. NCAA wimps out.

A recent announcement has come out from college football conference commissioners and others who run the current BCS format shows that they are sticking with their money, I mean story. Or maybe I really mean money. College footballs current four bowl, single championship game format won’t change for at least three years.
