Ocho and T.O.-Will It Work?

In looking at the combination of Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens, I gotta believe that this is either going to be an unbelievable combination like never seen before or a nuclear explosion about to detonate.  While they are saying all the right things, I really question if this can work….

The King Of Football Waffling, Brett Favre

I have to give Brett Favre credit.  I didn’t think he could outdo himself, but he did it twice in his press conference today.  Personally, I have no problem with him coming back.  After his performance last year, he proved he could still play and play well.  But here is where I think he needs [...]

Will T.O. Land A Job This Football Season?

Teams continue to say no to Terrell Owens for the upcoming football season. And speculation is starting to heat up about whether he will land anywhere this year.  Has the luster totally worn off of T.O.’s star at this point and is his career over?

College Football As We Know It Soon To End?

Well the Pac-16 mega conference did not happen.  There was a lot of moving and shaking, selling, wheeling and dealing.  And there was some movement between conferences.  But it appears that at the last minute, some people down in Texas and Oklahoma stopped to ask, “Hey, what’s the rush?”.  So college football didn’t get completely [...]

I Just Don’t Get Albert Haynesworth

So all the big news is about Haynesworth failing his conditioning test at Redskins training camp.   And today he is “resting” before, I guess, taking the test again.  Redskins coach Mike Shanahan says that Haynesworth cannot practice until he passes this test. (more…)

The Start Of The Pete Carroll Football Era In Seattle

So last month we have some indication of how Pete Carroll may run the Seattle Seahawks in a similar fashion to the way he ran things at USC.  I am talking about the incident with rookie wide receiver Golden Tate. (more…)

I Sure Didn’t See These College Football Conference Changes Coming…Good Or Bad

Until the discussion started at the beginning of this week or end of last week, whenever it was, I just didn’t see the College Football Conference changes and movements coming.  It was just a bit of a surprise.  But as I listened to all the talk this week and started thinking about what all of this means….I hate to see these moves in a way. Tribute To A Great Coach And Person

This post has absolutely nothing to do with football.  So all of you football fans, please forgive me.  But I just couldn’t let the passing of the legendary John Wooden go without writing about him.  There was so much that was great about this man. (more…)
